Sakoon Psychotherapy

Branding development for a new Psychotherapy studio specializing in care and treatment for first generation South Asian Americans.

The system needed to be expandable and practical while also having the ability to evoke confidence, style, and trustworthiness that needs to be associated with a brand that serves to heal and provide care.

The word Sakoon means calm, peace, relief, serenity, tranquility, and wholeness in the Urdu language. Provided by the client, the idea for the wave is meant to symbolize life, motion, and the ability to handle whatever life brings our way.

I illustrated the word mark to follow the flow and idea of the wave. The logomark follows the same flow and simplicity of the word mark. Both the logomark and wordmark were designed to communicate a sense of peace, compassion, and commitment to the journey ahead.
